Mushroom Spirit Oracle

There's an entire universe beneath our feet, of which we only see a fraction.

An ancient network connecting forests, plants, trees, and soil through a complex mycelium, which existed on Earth long before us humans.

I brought these Oracle Cards home after The Sacred Mushroom Oracle by Xóchitl Kusikuy Ashe sold out from the shop almost before I had a chance to tell you about them.

Because I was so drawn to encountering the universe of mushrooms myself that I began searching for more Oracle Cards where I could explore their wisdom, symbolism, and way of existence.

And here I found the Mushroom Spirit Oracle.

Mushrooms are not just something we see growing out of the ground.

They are part of a much larger living network, and their history on Earth spans incredibly long periods. They have existed through changes, climate shifts, and the evolution of species long before humans made their first marks.

The world of mushrooms in many ways resembles something we humans also need to remember: that we do not exist alone. That connections beneath the surface matter. That communication doesn't always have to happen in the way we are used to understanding it. And that there are forms of intelligence and cooperation in nature that can teach us to see our own world with new eyes.

The Mushroom Spirit Oracle invites you precisely into that universe.

The 36 cards are each linked to a specific mushroom and its characteristics, symbolism, and spiritual message. And what I particularly love about this deck is that you don't just get an intuitive message.

You also get the opportunity to get to know the mushroom itself.

Where it grows. What is known about it. What properties it is associated with. And what its unique nature can reflect back to you.

It therefore becomes both an intuitive and learning journey through the world of mushrooms.

Cacao and mushrooms meet not only in our fascination with nature's many forms of intelligence but also in how we can use them as invitations to slow down, listen inwards, and be curious about what lies beneath the surface.

So perhaps that's exactly what you should ask yourself the next time you draw a card:

What is nature trying to show me?

What lies beneath the surface that I haven't yet noticed?

Where do I need to create stronger connections?

And what can I learn from the way this mushroom exists?

You know it's a match for you if…

🍄 You are fascinated by mushrooms, nature's intelligence, and the mysteries that lie beneath the surface.

🍄 You love Oracle Cards where you get both a spiritual perspective and the opportunity to actually learn something new.

🍄 You feel a curiosity about the universe of mushrooms and want to explore their symbolism, properties, and wisdom in your own moments with cacao.

How to use the cards in your moments with cacao

Prepare your cacao as usual and give yourself a moment to settle before drawing a card.

You can intuitively draw one card and let the image be the first thing you encounter.

What do you notice?

What feeling does the mushroom evoke in you?

What does the image tell you before you even read the text?

Then you can read about the mushroom in the guidebook and explore what its properties and symbolism can reflect in your own life.

You can also use the cards with a specific question:

What do I need to see right now?

What lies beneath the surface in this situation?

Where do I need more connection?

What am I in the process of transforming?

What can I learn from nature's way of being?

About the creator

Mushroom Spirit Oracle is created by Nicola McIntosh, who was born in New Zealand and has lived most of her life in Australia.

Nicola holds a Bachelor of Health Science in Western Herbal Medicine and later a Master's in Chinese Herbal Medicine, which she completed with distinction. She has worked with herbs and natural products for many years and also has a practice in Celtic Shamanism.

Her fascination with nature, herbal medicine, and ancient spiritual traditions converges in her work with Oracle Cards and books, where she explores how our connection to nature can also open up new ways of understanding ourselves.

This is clearly felt in the Mushroom Spirit Oracle.

It's not just a deck with beautiful images of mushrooms.

It's an invitation to become curious about a world that existed around us long before us — and which still has an incredible amount to teach us.

So much of their world lies beneath the surface. It's a network we can't always see, but it's there.

Let it be a reminder that we can be held, even if we can't see the support.
That we are carried through life by their wisdom and connected to what is.

Because even if we can't see it, we can discover that there is much more beneath the surface than we first thought 🤎
